The Fiat Uno was a mainstay of the Fiat range for most of the ’80s and ’90s. It offered cheap and cheerful – but not exactly reliable – motoring for a whole generation. It finally ended production after 6 million were produced and it was replaced in the Fiat line-up by the Punto.
Mercedes-Benz has previewed the next-generation S-Class by continued its series of sculptures with ‘Aesthetics S', set to be unveiled at the Paris motor show. The new relief-like sculpture is set to display the automaker's view of the design of the future luxury saloon through projected images that give a glimpse of the upcoming sedan. Depictions of the four previous S-Class models from the past – the model series W189, W108, W126 and W221 – it can also convey the impact of the S-Class tradition.
The BMW 5-series GT has been a sales success for the German automaker, even though the AutoWeek staff is sharply divided over its looks. There's a redesigned 3-series coming for 2012, and a GT version is joining in the lineup.
